Julian Karol Sochocki was a Russian-Polish mathematician, born 1842 in Warsaw and deceased 1927 in Leningrad. This is his native Polish spelling. Sometimes it is differently transliterated from Russian, e.g. Sokhotsky, Sokhotskii and Sokhotski.
