Abstract: In this talk I plan to give an overview of constructing weight systems for knots using graded geometry. I will start by reviewing the famous construction of Jones polynomial from Chern-Simons theory due to Witten, in which process, the prerequisites that a weight system has to fulfill will become clear. Then I show that how one may generalise this construction to those coming from graded geometry. If there is time, I might go a little into certain technical details regarding globalisation of the construction, and how one may take the new weight systems further.
