Joyal's CatLab Maltsiniotis, Georges

Georges Maltsiniotis is a Greek mathematician working in Paris VII. He studied algebraic geometry with Jean-Louis Verdier?.

His mathematical life shows three periods: the first in algebraic geometry until 1980; the second on quantum groups and geometry until 2000; the third in abstract homotopy theory and the theory of stacks. He is currently editing the manuscripts of Alexandre Grothendieck in collaboration with Jean Malgoire.

He supervised Denis-Charles Cisinski for his Phd.
