Drinfeld centers -- version 9
=============================

A standalone LaTeX reference project based on the supplied
Drinfeld-centers_v8.zip. The text and template preceding the appendices,
and both illustrations, are preserved from that version.

Contents
main.tex Editable article, including the template preamble.
  references.bib Twenty-three cited references.
main.bbl Generated bibliography, included for convenience.
main.pdf Compiled review copy (28 pages).
  graphics/ The two supplied illustrations.

This revision
Appendix A: contextual citations, introductory examples, and an enumerated
"Pointers to the literature" remark. The guide covers Mueger's survey,
  Etingof--Gelaki--Nikshych--Ostrik's monograph, Bakalov--Kirillov's textbook,
Etingof--Nikshych--Ostrik's foundational paper, and Mac Lane's categorical
background. References include relevant sections and theorem numbers.

Appendix B: two substantial subsections, "Local systems and pull-push"
and "Free loop spaces and character sectors". Short headings remain
paragraphs and do not appear in the table of contents. The exposition
clarifies monodromy, external tensor products, Kan extension, coinvariants,
the Postnikov reduction, character orbits, quotient functors, and projective
multipliers. The character-orbit quotient explicitly fixes its character
and defines the finite orbit as a set of characters.

Validation
The article was compiled with Tectonic and Biber. The bibliography and
cross-references resolve, with no overflowing boxes or missing glyphs
reported in the article. All pages were rendered for visual review.

Writing conventions
Use pi_1(A) and pi_2(A) directly throughout the homotopical construction.
Explain notation near its use and write for readers learning the topics.

Building
Use a current TeX Live or MiKTeX installation with biblatex and Biber:

    pdflatex main.tex
    biber --output-safechars main
    pdflatex main.tex
    pdflatex main.tex

Regenerate main.bbl with the Biber version matching the installed biblatex.
The safe-character option also preserves the template's font setup with
a XeTeX-based engine such as Tectonic.
