nLab admissible subcategory

Redirected from "admissible subcategories".

A right-admissible subcategory (resp. left admissible subcategory) of a triangulated category AA is a strictly full triangulated subcategory BB such that the inclusion functor i:BAi : B \hookrightarrow A admits a right adjoint i *i_* (resp. a left adjoint i *i^*). It is called simply admissible if it is both right- and left-admissible.
