Idea

Given an algebraic variety, its canonical divisor is the divisor corresponding to its canonical line bundle.

Similarly, its anticanonical divisor is the additive inverse of the canonical divisor in the group of divisors, hence the divisor corresponding to the anticanonical line bundle.
