nLab Kantor-Koecher-Tits construction

Idea

The Kantor-Koecher-Tits construction produces a Lie algebra from a Jordan algebra.

Applied to the exceptional Jordan algebra this construction yields the Lie algebra of the exceptional Lie group E7.
