Michael Campbell McCord was an American mathematician probably best known for his work on finite topological spaces and on the nerve theorem.

On homotopy groups and weak homotopy equivalences of finite topological spaces:

- Michael C. McCord,
*Singular homology groups and homotopy groups of finite topological spaces*, Duke Math. J. Volume 33, Number 3 (1966), 465-474. (euclid.dmj/1077376525)

On the nerve theorem:

- Michael C. McCord,
*Homotopy type comparison of a space with complexes associated with its open covers*, Proc. Amer. Math. Soc. 18 (1967), 705–708 (jstor:2035443)

On the construction of classifying spaces using (and introducing) compactly generated weakly Hausdorff topological spaces:

- Michael C. McCord,
*Classifying Spaces and Infinite Symmetric Products*, Transactions of the American Mathematical Society, Vol. 146 (Dec., 1969), pp. 273-298 (jstor:1995173, pdf)
