Paul Bressler works mainly in geometry (in the wide and modern sense of the word) including deformation theory, index theorems, algebraic and differential geometry, algebraic topology, homological algebra, K-theory; some of his motivation lies in mathematical physics (quantization, mirror symmetry, conformal field theory, …). Bressler’s advisor was Raoul Bott.
