nLab generic representation theory

Idea

This is an approach to linear representations of the general linear groups $GL_{n}(\mathbf{F}_{q})$ over prime fields which relates them to the Steenrod algebra in a very algebraic (and quite category theoretic) way. It has been developed in a series of three papers by Nicholas Kuhn.
