Idea

In BV-BRST formalism, the local antibracket of a Lagrangian field theory is the incarnation antibracket of horizontal differential forms on the jet bundle of the field bundle. Under transgression of variational differential forms this yields the ordinary (“global”) antibracket on polynomial observables.
