A bound state of D5-branes and D9-branes, a special case of Dp-D(p+4)-brane bound states.
Under duality between heterotic and type I string theory brane bound states translate to small instantons in heterotic string theory given by wrapped NS5-branes, or rather wrapped M5-branes in heterotic M-theory (Witten 96, Gimon-Polchinski 96)
brane intersections/bound states/wrapped branes/polarized branes
D-branes and anti D-branes form bound states by tachyon condensation, thought to imply the classification of D-brane charge by K-theory
