Idea

The Whitney C kC^k topology is a topology on the set C (X,Y)C^\infty(X,Y) of smooth functions between two smooth manifolds, induced from the natural topology of the order-kk jet spaces of maps from XX to YY.

Often, and espcially for k=k = \infty this is just called the C kC^k-topology .
